Developer Obitus Games has officially unveiled the utility of the Genesis Pilot NFT collection, one for which anyone might still have a chance of being whitelisted for. Read on to find out the benefits of this asset and how you could win a whitelist spot for the upcoming mint.
What Is OverKnights?
OverKnights is a free to play card battler backed by Immutable and all-in-one developer platform Sequence. Create your own customizable OverKnight using various different parts and build out your deck using a wide range of cards that can be upgraded with varied components for in-depth strategies. Engage in tactical PvP battles akin to the dynamics of fighting games but in card-based combat and win matches to unlock new parts, cards, and more while competing for exclusive prizes. The Genesis Pilot NFT collection is a series of limited edition PFPs that serve as the gateway to accessing the OverKnights ecosystem. These anime-styled digital collectibles essentially act as VIP passes to the web3 game and everything that may be a part of its ecosystem, providing holders with numerous benefits and exclusive in-game perks.

What Is the Utility of Genesis Pilot NFTs?
When it comes to utility, owning a Genesis Pilot NFT will come with a variety of exclusive in-game benefits, but also significant perks within the game’s ecosystem as well.
Specifically, this on-chain asset will give you priority access to future mints, exclusive events, free tournament entries, early content previews, and more. Perhaps most notably, holders can also look forward to a token airdrop after TGE. A total of 0.5% of the token’s total supply has been allocated to NFT holders, who will receive a one-time token airdrop that will depend on the rarity of the NFT held, and the duration of holding the same asset. The longer you hold your Genesis Pilot and the rarer it is, the bigger airdrop allocation you will get. Info on the token itself will likely be revealed in the near future.
If you’d like to get a bit more active within the game itself instead of just passively holding the collectible, you can then look forward to getting bonus multipliers in an upcoming play to airdrop campaign. The bonus multipliers vary based on rarity, and the P2A campaign will begin shortly after the NFT mint, so if you want to get an advantage in securing a bigger token airdrop through gameplay, you will need to get a hold of this upcoming asset.

Previously, it was possible to take part in a Play to Whitelist campaign across 2 leaderboards on Immutable Play, but since the second leaderboard ended on July 14, that leaves social activities and any other potential future gameplay event as your main paths towards securing a whitelist spot. If you win a whitelist spot, you will be guaranteed the minting of a Common NFT. You can upgrade the rarity of the NFT by collecting more whitelist spots. If you end up having 2 whitelist spots, you then have a chance of minting a Rare NFT, with 5 whitelist spots guaranteeing a Rare asset. Anyone who manages to get 10 whitelists could have a chance of minting a Mythical NFT, while securing 15 whitelist spots will ensure you definitely mint a Mythical NFT. Regardless of the number of whitelist spots you collect, you will still only be able to mint just one NFT, as this upgrade system is designed to reward dedicated community members with a rarer asset on minting.

Wrapping up this whitelist campaign will be a raffle for a Legendary NFT. There will only be 6 Legendary NFTs in existence, with the raffle featuring only one of them up for grabs.
To secure raffle entries, you simply need to collect as many whitelist spots as you can to increase your final whitelist rarity tier, as that will determine the number of raffle entries you actually have. This means that if you get one whitelist spot, you have 1 raffle entry, while collecting 5 whitelists gets you 6 raffle entries, according to an official announcement.
